Privacy Policy for KOrder

This Privacy Policy explains how KOrder collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit korder.ca, use KOrder web, desktop, or mobile apps, or contact us about the service.

Last updated: March 28, 2026

KOrder provides this service. If you are a guest ordering from a restaurant that uses KOrder, that restaurant remains responsible for its customer relationship and should usually be your first contact for order or account questions.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to korder.ca, KOrder web, desktop, and mobile apps, support and onboarding communications, and demos or request forms related to KOrder.

It does not replace separate privacy notices that may apply to third-party services integrated into KOrder, including payment processors, delivery partners, or marketplace platforms.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in several categories, depending on how you use KOrder:

  • Business and account information, such as restaurant name, addresses, owner or staff names, phone numbers, email addresses, and account settings.
  • Order and operational information, such as menu items, taxes, modifiers, tickets, sales totals, shift activity, printer assignments, payment status, and order timing.
  • Customer information processed through the service, such as customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, order history, and delivery or pickup details, when a restaurant uses KOrder to run service.
  • Technical and usage information, such as browser or device type, IP address, logs, crash information, app version, and product analytics events used to improve reliability and performance.
  • Inquiry information, such as the details you submit through our contact or onboarding forms.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, host, secure, and support KOrder,
  • process restaurant operations and service workflows,
  • sync orders and updates with connected platforms and integrations,
  • communicate with account holders and support contacts,
  • troubleshoot issues, monitor reliability, and improve the product,
  • detect misuse, fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity, and
  • comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with:

  • authorized restaurant users and staff,
  • payment processors and commerce providers,
  • cloud hosting, infrastructure, logging, and analytics providers,
  • integration partners used by the restaurant, such as ordering, delivery, or marketplace platforms,
  • customer support and onboarding tools, and
  • legal or regulatory authorities when required by law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for unrelated third-party marketing.

5. KOrder’s Role For Restaurant Customer Data

When a restaurant uses KOrder to manage customer orders, KOrder generally acts as a service provider or processor on behalf of that restaurant. In those cases, the restaurant decides what customer data is collected and how it is used in the course of its business.

If you are a restaurant guest and want to access, correct, or delete your order information, contact the restaurant first. We may assist the restaurant where appropriate and required by law.

6. Payments

Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers. KOrder does not store full payment card numbers or card security codes.

We may receive payment metadata, transaction status, and limited billing details needed for reporting, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and support.

7. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and analytics tools to keep users signed in, remember settings, measure feature usage, diagnose issues, and improve the product.

Some desktop or mobile app telemetry may be collected through app-integrated analytics rather than browser cookies, but the purpose is the same: product reliability, performance, and user experience.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, support customers, resolve disputes, protect security, and meet legal or tax obligations.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the restaurant’s account status, and applicable legal requirements.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we process. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device access secure.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and the nature of your relationship with KOrder, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.

You may also request information about how your data is used or shared. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. International Transfers

KOrder may use service providers in different jurisdictions. As a result, information may be stored or processed outside your province, state, or country, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
